OSSTF/FEESO President Ken Coran Retires from Service on June 30

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 28, 2013) - Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) President Ken Coran will officially retire from a long career in public education on June 30. Ken has been a secondary school teacher, a local union president in Thames Valley and a provincial OSSTF/FEESO executive member for 12 years. Coran was elected as President of OSSTF/FEESO in 2007.

"Ken has served the members of OSSTF/FEESO with great distinction for many years," said OSSTF/FEESO President-elect Paul Elliott. "His genuine nature, strong leadership skills and undeniable belief in public education have been assets to the Federation and its members. On behalf of OSSTF/FEESO, I wish to thank him for all of his contributions and service to OSSTF/FEESO over the years," concluded Elliott.

OSSTF/FEESO, founded in 1919, has 60,000 members across Ontario. They include public high school teachers, occasional teachers, educational assistants, continuing education teachers and instructors, early childhood educators, psychologists, secretaries, speech-language pathologists, social workers, plant support personnel, university support staff, and many others in education.
