Ottawa Senators: Fewer Than 1,500 Tickets Available for Tuesday's Game Against Calgary

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 1,500 tickets remain for their only home meeting with the Calgary Flames this season, which takes place on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. The Flames will look to maintain their Northwest Division lead as they begin a season-high seven-game road trip at Scotiabank Place. Calgary veteran Jarome Iginla recently surpassed former Flame Theoren Fleury for the franchise lead in points (834) with his five-point effort in Sunday's 8-6 home loss against Tampa Bay.

The Sens Foundation's annual telethon in support of Roger's House will take place throughout Tuesday night's matchtelethon, and will air during Rogers Sportsnet's game broadcast. Donations can be made via the in-game collection, which will take place in the second period (envelopes and donation forms will be made available to fans upon entry), or by visiting

Tickets remaining for upcoming games:

Thursday, March 5 vs. Edmonton: Fewer than 3,000 tickets remaining. Led by a mix of young stars, including Ales Hemsky and Tom Gilbert, in addition to a veteran presence with the likes of Sheldon Souray and Shawn Horcoff, the Oilers will seek to avoid a season-series sweep at the hands of the Senators as they aim to return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2006 Stanley Cup final. Before the game, the Senators will honour defenceman Jason Smith (an Oilers captain for five of his seven-plus seasons in Edmonton) who recently appeared in his 1,000th NHL game (Feb. 17 at Colorado).

For both games against these Alberta-based opponents, the new Future Fan ticket pack is available for minor hockey players, students and their families. Children's tickets, which include a hotdog and a drink, are available for $20. The same ticket is available to parents for just $29.

Saturday, March 7 vs. Buffalo: Fewer than 3,500 tickets remain as the Senators host a Northeast Division rival in a Saturday night home game for the final time this season. Ottawa leads the season series with three victories in four games and will seek to derail Buffalo's playoff aspirations.

On Saturday (and all remaining Saturday home games), fans can enter Scotiabank Place through Gate 1 for the Sens Gameday Experience, presented by Esso, with doors opening at 10 a.m. for the pre-game skate, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Activities will include face painting and tattoos, T-shirt giveaways and a free Senators poster for the first 500 children in attendance. Non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Ottawa Food Bank. Parking and admission is free for the open skates.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d'Orleans; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location, the Centrepointe Theatre and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
