Ottawa Senators Return to the Big Screen at Select Cineplex Entertainment Theatres

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 28, 2006) - The Ottawa Senators and Cineplex Entertainment theatres announced today that Senators fans have another reason to cheer; they will be able to watch live broadcasts of larger-than-life hockey games on wall-to-wall screens at three participating theatre locations in the Ottawa area, and one in each of Brockville, Cornwall and Kingston.

Beginning Dec. 12, fans can watch fives games not available on regular television, making this a unique opportunity for families and friends to see the games on giant wall-to-wall curved screens in Dolby Digital Surround Sound.

"Cineplex Entertainment is all about bringing our guests more than just movies," says Pat Marshall, vice-president, communications and investor relations for Cineplex Entertainment. "Showing NHL hockey at our theatres is a great idea that audiences love, and Senators fans had the rare treat of experiencing on a test basis last season. Watching the Senators on our screens is the next best thing to being in the stands at the actual game."

Starting at $8.95 a ticket, this is an opportunity for the entire family to enjoy an exciting and affordable night out together watching the Senators.

"The broadcast available to Senators fans at Cineplex theatres will be a unique viewing experience," said Jim Steel, Senators vice-president of broadcasting. "The broadcasts will be commercial free, and tailor-made for this type of venue."

About the Ottawa Senators:
