Ottawa Students Finding Out a Future as a CPA has No Limits

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 6, 2013) - A select group of Ottawa-area high school students are getting an exclusive look into the many opportunities available in the world of business at the No Limits conference being hosted by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario on Friday, November 8. Approximately 120 students, nominated by their schools for their leadership skills and interest in university business programs, will be attending this day-long session. Ottawa is hosting one of just three No Limits conferences being held during the 2013-14 school year.

The No Limits Ottawa Conference brings CPA, CAs from Ottawa's top businesses together with students most likely to be tomorrow's successful business professionals. During No Limits, the students will get the chance to meet CPA, CAs and discuss the many opportunities that open up for people who achieve the prestigious CPA designation. Participating organizations include major accounting firms, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Giant Tiger, PlaSmart Inc., McClarty & Co. Professional Corporation and other organizations.

Among the day's highlights will be a presentation by Lynda Carter, CPA, CA, Senior Manager with Deloitte LLP in Ottawa. She'll discuss the importance of the CPA designation and its benefits to her career. Recently Lynda was awarded the Top 40 Under 40 Award by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Chamber of Commerce. The annual awards program recognizes accomplished industry leaders who are under the age of 40 and give back to their community.
