Ottawa's Klipfolio Selected for C100 "48 Hours in the Valley"

As One of Canada's "Most Promising Startups," Klipfolio Ready to Make New Connections in California

OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Jun 22, 2015) - Today, Klipfolio CEO Allan Wille is kicking off a visit to Silicon Valley with twenty other Canadian startups as part of the C100 "48 Hours in the Valley" program. C100 recently announced the June 2015 Cohort, inviting Canada's most promising emerging companies, including Klipfolio, the only startup from Ottawa in the current cohort.

"The '48 Hours' program is both a terrific opportunity and great recognition for Klipfolio," said Wille. "It speaks to one of the greatest strengths of the Canadian startup scene -- our community. The introductions we're receiving and the connections we're making as part of this program will help us as we continue to grow."

The C100 is a non-profit, member-driven organization that supports Canadian technology entrepreneurship through mentorship, partnership and investment. The C100 hosts events and organizes mentorship programs that connect Canadian entrepreneurs with C100 Charter Members. These members include startup CEOs and top executives of companies such as Apple, Cisco, EA, eBay, Salesforce.com, Google, Microsoft and Oracle, as well as venture investors representing more than $17 billion in capital.

"48 Hours in the Valley" celebrates top early-stage Canadian companies and brings them to Silicon Valley for 48 hours of mentorship, workshops, investor meetings, strategic partner visits and networking. The goal is a more informed, connected and empowered Canadian startup society.

The theme of the June 2015 event is "Business Development & Growth." At this event, Klipfolio (and the other selected companies) will have the opportunity to:

  • Become better acquainted with the startup community in Silicon Valley
  • Receive mentorship from the C100 member and partner network
  • Pitch to high profile VCs and other potential investors
  • Learn best practices from within the company's specific sector
  • Network with other Canadian startups in similar growth stages
