OurPet's Launches Clipnosis™ Gentle Calming Clip

FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) - OurPet's Company (OTCBB: OPCO) (, a leading proprietary pet supply company, announces the official launch of Clipnosis™ Gentle Calming Clip (Clipnosis Clip) (, a safe, painless, drug-free product that helps to calm cats under stressful situations. This product was enthusiastically received last month by veterinarians, technicians and clinic administrators at the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC). Under independent testing, OurPet's confirmed that eighty percent of 93 million cats in the United States can benefit from the Clipnosis Clip.

Dr. Tony Buffington DVM, PhD and his associates of The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, sought a safe non-drug solution for relaxing cats and reducing environmentally caused stress. As cats grow older, they can become challenging for veterinarians performing routine physical exams, taking blood samples and during vaccinations. For the cat owner, performing basic grooming and hygiene, nail clipping, giving medication and transporting their cat often becomes more difficult. Noticing that kittens and adult cats become temporarily immobilized when "scruffed" (pressure applied behind the neck area), Dr. Buffington and his associates conducted various safe, painless PIBI (Pinched Induced Behavioral Inhibition) experiments by varying the size of clips, placement along the dorsal medial line and pressure until they obtained optimum results. After receiving an exclusive worldwide license, OurPet's embarked on product design, manufacturing and marketing activities that resulted in commercialization of the Clipnosis Clip.

Dr. Steve Tsengas, PhD, President of OurPet's Company, commented, "The Clipnosis Clip is an innovative, safe product which also provides an 'extra pair of hands' in the clinic, shelter or at home while caring for the cat. It was listed as one of the '10 must see products at NAVC' by a leading veterinary professional who was a speaker at the recent conference. The Clipnosis Clip is currently available for professional use and also available to cat owners through their veterinarian. We are excited about this addition to our growing portfolio of cat products."

Later this month the Clipnosis Clip will be featured by OurPet's at the 83rd annual Western Veterinary Conference, which was attended by more than 6,000 veterinarians and an additional 7,000 industry professionals and interested persons from over 30 countries in 2010.
