FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) - OurPet's Company (OTCBB: OPCO) (www.ourpets.com), a leading proprietary pet supply company, announces the official launch of Clipnosis™ Gentle Calming Clip (Clipnosis Clip) (www.clipnosis.com), a safe, painless, drug-free product that helps to calm cats under stressful situations. This product was enthusiastically received last month by veterinarians, technicians and clinic administrators at the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC). Under independent testing, OurPet's confirmed that eighty percent of 93 million cats in the United States can benefit from the Clipnosis Clip.

Dr. Tony Buffington DVM, PhD and his associates of The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, sought a safe non-drug solution for relaxing cats and reducing environmentally caused stress. As cats grow older, they can become challenging for veterinarians performing routine physical exams, taking blood samples and during vaccinations. For the cat owner, performing basic grooming and hygiene, nail clipping, giving medication and transporting their cat often becomes more difficult. Noticing that kittens and adult cats become temporarily immobilized when "scruffed" (pressure applied behind the neck area), Dr. Buffington and his associates conducted various safe, painless PIBI (Pinched Induced Behavioral Inhibition) experiments by varying the size of clips, placement along the dorsal medial line and pressure until they obtained optimum results. After receiving an exclusive worldwide license, OurPet's embarked on product design, manufacturing and marketing activities that resulted in commercialization of the Clipnosis Clip.
