Over 700 Companies Provide Data in 2011 Equilar Top 25 Survey of Executive Compensation

Over 45 Percent Increase in Companies That Submitted Total Compensation Data for the Top 25 Senior Officers

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 15, 2011) - Equilar, the leading provider of executive compensation benchmarking and research solutions, has announced the release of its 2011 Top 25 Senior Officer Survey, which collects pay data for executives who do not typically appear in company filings. The 724 companies that participated in the survey have combined annual revenues of $7.4 trillion and represent a broad range of industries including retail, technology, media, telecommunications, manufacturing, finance, insurance, energy, utilities, healthcare, and life sciences.

The 2011 survey is Equilar's largest executive compensation data release to date, amassing key compensation metrics on executives from 724 companies, an increase of over 45 percent over 2010 results. Equilar's comprehensive dataset contains up-to-date reporting of salaries, bonuses, perquisites, and stock grants, as well as both short and long term equity incentives for dozens of positions within both public and private organizations.

"The Equilar Top 25 Survey's growth is a testament to the trust companies place in Equilar and our data," says David Chun, Founder and CEO. "By combining the survey data with our comprehensive public information, we are able to provide the most up-to-date and relevant information in the market place today, as well as to provide a historical record of pay trends for the broadest possible range of executive officers."

Organizations can access compensation data for the entire management team by subscribing to Equilar's Top 25 Survey offering. The dataset is searchable by position, industry, market cap, region, and other criteria, giving companies the ability to benchmark roles that have previously lacked comparative data.

It's not too late for companies to take part in the 2011 Survey and be included in an updated data release later this fall. Participation is free, and all participants receive two reports that parse the survey results by the factors of their choice, including market cap, region, industry, and more.
