Over a Million Canadians Excited About MR MIKES(R) SteakhouseCasual Campaign to Challenge Jimmy Kimmel to Drink a Caesar on Canada Day

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - June 14, 2016) - It's been just three weeks since National Caesar Day and since MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual challenged one of America's most beloved late-night talk show hosts, Jimmy Kimmel, to drink a Caesar, Canada's national cocktail on Canada Day. Already over a million Canadians have heeded the call to participate in the 'Caesar Challenge.' Participation has ranged from watching the challenge video, sending postcards to Jimmy Kimmel via the www.clamup.ca website, face swapping with Jimmy on Snapchat, and even tweeting Jimmy Kimmel directly to let him know to step up on Canada Day.

The MR MIKES® challenge video has already been viewed by over a million people via Facebook, YouTube, and other social media. Comparatively, an average of just 513,000 viewers tuned into the first 20 NHL playoff games this year on Hockey Night in Canada and Sportsnet. The challenge is simple; MR MIKES® wants Jimmy Kimmel to drink a Caesar and show the rest of America who are late to the game embracing Canada's cocktail, that they shouldn't be afraid of a little clam juice.

The challenge is two-fold, and includes rallying Canadians across the country everywhere to toss aside the politeness our country is stereotypically known for and proudly put on our Canadian pride. Not only have Canadians watched the video on social media, almost 10,000 people have visited the campaign's website www.clamup.ca and filled out an online postcard to Jimmy Kimmel telling him why Canada and the Caesar are great. MR MIKES® plans to send all the postcards to the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio in advance of Canada Day.

Some enthusiastic fans of the campaign have taken the challenge seriously, as seen in various YouTube videos made in response to the original campaign video.

"Our Caesar campaign taps into Canadian pride by challenging all Canadians to join the movement to show Jimmy Kimmel and all Americans our love for the Caesar," says Robin Chakrabarti, an owner of RAMMP Hospitality Brands Inc., the company behind MR MIKES®. "The response has been amazing as Caesar loving people all across Canada have viewed the video and are excited for our neighbours down south to get to know why our Caesar is another great Canadian invention that they'll love!"

The 'Caesar Challenge,' as it's affectionately referred to, is set to run from now until July 1, 2016. With two weeks left in the lead up to Canada Day, Canadians can join the movement by visiting www.clamup.ca to view the video and send Jimmy Kimmel a postcard. Canadians are also encouraged to share the campaign on social media using the hashtag #CaesarChallenge.
