Overland Park CEO to Speak About Being a Rape Survivor at Central Exchange Event

OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwired - Apr 7, 2015) - Valerie Jennings, who was named one of Kansas City's Most Influential Women in Business in 2014 and was featured on the cover of KC Business magazine, is now speaking publicly about being a rape survivor. Jennings will be speaking at the WiConnex event hosted by Central Exchange at the CX South location on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Register now.

Jennings is the CEO of Jennings Social Media Marketing and Viral Bolt Media. She has been an advocate for women's issues, including serving on the board for SAFEHOME, a domestic violence shelter in the Kansas City area.

Jennings is living with PTSD as a result of the rape, but has overcome many challenges regardless of it, such as raising a daughter as a single mom and receiving numerous awards, honors and recognitions. She is also recognized as a go-to authority in the technology industry and is frequently interviewed by the tech media as well as speaks at tech events such as KCNext.
