Owensboro Tickets to Launch New Regional Ticketing Service Powered by Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (Formerly Paciolan)

Local, Integrated Ticketing Platform Will Unite Region's Venues, Festivals and Attractions

IRVINE, CA and OWENSBORO, KY--(Marketwired - Jul 7, 2015) - Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement (formerly Paciolan), a leader in ticketing, fundraising, marketing and analytics solutions for live entertainment organizations, today announced it has entered into a partnership with Owensboro Tickets, a new regional ticketing provider in downtown Owensboro and Western Kentucky. Owensboro Tickets will begin offering affordable ticketing services at www.OwensboroTickets.com, powered by Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, to both RiverPark Center and Owensboro Convention Center this summer. Services will soon extend to other regional venues and attractions.

The partnership allows Owensboro Tickets to leverage Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement's industry-leading ticketing, Access Management and marketing services to offer integrated solutions and innovative technology for venues in the Western Kentucky region. Owensboro Tickets will also offer tailored services to current and future partners based on their specific ticketing and marketing needs.

Easier Access, Better Experience for Fans
"It's exciting to partner with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement to build a local service with low fees, a downtown box office, an easy-to-navigate website and a subscription service," said Dean Dennis, General Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center. "On average, about half of the tickets for any live entertainment event go unsold, with customers citing awareness, ease of purchase and price as the main reasons they don't attend an event. Our services and new partnership will help solve a number of these issues."

In addition to providing ticketing at the Owensboro Convention Center, Spectra also provides Venue Management services, including booking, scheduling, marketing, maintenance, contracted services, staffing and other operations.

"Our intention is continue to enhance the fan experience at our venues, which is why we're thrilled to expand Spectra at the Owensboro Convention Center to include Ticketing & Fan Engagement," added Dennis. "By integrating our two Spectra divisions, we are providing our customers with a seamless purchase experience, and we are better able to promote and market events."

Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement will provide individually branded websites for each of Owensboro Tickets' partners and offer online ticketing services to provide fans and customers of each venue with an all-in-one eCommerce site to purchase tickets in real-time. Owensboro Tickets will offer partners services such as ticket printing, advanced Internet and phone ticket sales, ticket mailing and event registration.

The company will also provide digital ticketing services through Spectra's Access Management, enabling fans to print their tickets at home or deliver mobile tickets via 2D barcodes. The Access solution will allow venues to efficiently scan tickets at all events and accommodate the needs of remote events, reducing the cost of distribution and providing convenient fulfillment for fans to instantly receive their tickets.

As Owensboro Tickets' first partner, RiverPark Center plans to offer current and new season subscribers the ability to choose from multiple payment plans online, the ability to transfer print-at-home or mobile tickets, as well as online account management. The performing arts center took an active role in the vision of services offered by Owensboro Tickets to help guide the direction of its regional services.

Greater Visibility for Venues & Events
"The real key is the exposure we will provide events via each individually branded website and through email marketing and social marketing services," added Dennis. "Even the smallest event can be listed next to the hottest touring act, giving it a much better chance of being seen by fans and potential ticket buyers. That's a compelling reason for venues and event producers to collaborate on ticketing and marketing for their events with our services."

Owensboro Tickets will leverage industry-leading marketing services, including PACmail, an email marketing solution, to expand its communication and broaden its marketing reach through tailored, segmented messages to fans. The solution will increase awareness of ticket sales, promotions and events, increasing engagement and attendance.

Owensboro Tickets modeled itself after other regional services powered by Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, which boasts more than 15 such services throughout North America, including Knoxville Tickets (KnoxvilleTickets.com), a regional platform based out of Knoxville, Tenn., and MetroTix (MetroTix.com) in St. Louis, Mo. Both of these platforms operate across arenas, theatres, convention centers and universities in their respective areas, offering the same kind of access and choice for fans that Owensboro Tickets is introducing.

To fund this proven regional ticketing model, Daviess County Fiscal Court approved monies to support startup costs for Owensboro Tickets at its June 16, 2015 meeting. Executive Judge Al Mattingly called the project "Silo Busting," referring to this project as a way of assisting arts agencies with the opportunity to cooperate and share resources.

"We are encouraged by this expansion in collaboration by local organizations and are ready to assist in implementing the project," said Shannon Wetzel, Executive Director of the Owensboro Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

"I have seen a lot of ticketing companies, and we have tried more than a few," said Roxi Witt, Executive Director of RiverPark Center. "I never thought we would be able to leverage Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement's services on our own. Collaborating with other venues to bring in a better set of tools for all of us to use just makes so much sense for Owensboro."

Comcast Spectacor, a leader in the sports and entertainment industry, raised the bar on live event experiences when it announced on June 2 a new brand called Spectra that brings together the company's expertise in Venue Management (formerly Global Spectrum), Food Services & Hospitality (formerly Ovations Food Services) and Ticketing & Fan Engagement (formerly Paciolan).

"We are excited to partner with Owensboro Tickets and power their new regional ticketing services in Western Kentucky," said Dave Butler, Chief Executive Officer of Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. "We look forward to helping Owensboro Tickets build new relationships through our innovative and integrated ticketing and marketing solutions."
