P&O Cruises - Record Early Bookings For 2006 Cruise Holidays

LONDON, ENGLAND--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 26, 2005) -

P&O Cruises launches 2nd Edition Brochure

P&O Cruises has published its 2nd edition brochure. On sale from 1 September, the brochure features three new cruise itineraries including a 38-night voyage to the Amazon and Orinoco rivers, an ex-UK 24-night Caribbean itinerary, both on Artemis, and a three-night cruise-break on Oriana. The brochure also features calls to new ports in Libya, Iceland and Tunisia. Further details are given on the new concepts in dining and the Weddings At Sea package available from November 2005.

Philip Price, head of brand marketing, P&O Cruises, said:

"We have been overwhelmed by the response to our 2006 programme. Experienced cruisers and families, in particular, realise that early booking offers the greatest savings for the specific cabin on the specific cruise and date required.

"Our key focus for next year is choice and flexibility and the popularity of this is very evident in bookings for our 'P&O Cruises Dining Choice' approach.

"We have also seen huge interest in our Weddings At Sea service. As couples want something out of the ordinary, the romantic idea of being married at sea by the Captain is obviously very appealing."

The brochure illustrates the segmented onboard experiences offered by the five ships in the fleet. The new Arcadia and Oceana offer 'contemporary and innovative' cruising; Aurora and Oriana are 'original and authentic' whilst a 'traditional and intimate' experience can be found on Artemis. From the entertainment and dining, to the décor and ambience, passengers will be able to choose a style of cruising that is right for them - the end of 'one size fits all' era of cruising.

New Itineraries:

* Artemis - 38 night Amazon & Orinoco Adventure, 20 February - 30 March 2007
Ports of call include: Barbados, Tobago, sail along Orinoco River, Puerto Ordaz, sail up the Amazon, Santarem, Parintins, Manaus, Grenada, St. Lucia and Dominica.
* Artemis - 24 night Caribbean Voyage, 30 March - 23 April 2007
Ports of call include: Ponta Delgada, Antigua, Tortola, Dominica, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and Madeira.
* Oriana - Three-night Summer Break, 21 - 24 June 2006
Ports of call include: Amsterdam and Bruges.

The brochure contains a choice of more than 30 fly-cruises to the Caribbean with charter flights from a choice of 14 regional airports, including, for the first time, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. The programme also features more than 90 ex-UK cruise holidays from homeport of Southampton.

During the summer all five liners offer cruises to the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Atlantic Isles, Baltic regions and Norwegian Fjords. During the winter, Arcadia and Oceana take holidaymakers to the Caribbean, USA and Central America while Artemis, Aurora and Oriana embark on world voyages.

'Pricebreakers' early booking discounts are available of up to 45% on the majority of cruise itineraries, if booked by 30th November 2005. The lead in fare for a two-night party cruise on Oriana departing 30th September 2006 is GBP214 per person. A typical 14-night Mediterranean cruise departing 7th April 2006 starts at GBP1,099 per person based on Oceana's 'Best of the Mediterranean', calling at Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Florence/Pisa, Rome, Ajaccio, Palma, Cartagena and Gibraltar. *
