Paciolan Announces D.J. Allen as Closing Keynote Speaker at PACnet '15 Conference

Founder and Head Visionary of Xs & Os of Success to Address Paciolan Community at Closing Luncheon

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 7, 2015) - Paciolan, an industry-leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and sales automation solutions to more than 500 live entertainment organizations, today announced that D.J. Allen, Founder and Head Visionary of Xs & Os of Success, will be the closing keynote speaker at its annual PACnet community conference to be held Feb. 8-11, 2015 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa in Newport Beach, Calif. Allen will deliver his keynote on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Paciolan is a subsidiary of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.

"Paciolan and PACnet have such great reputations nationally that we're thrilled to be involved and have the opportunity to share our message with such an impressive audience," said Allen, who is also an author and speaks throughout the nation. "PACnet is the perfect forum to share our powerful professional and personal experiences. For those in live entertainment as well as those in athletics, we want to provide unique insight into creating successful environments which produce winning results."

Allen will focus on a behind-the-scenes look into the competitive world of athletics and live entertainment and share a unique glimpse of what it is like to be a coach and leader in one of the highest-pressured industries in today's world: sports. Allen will also discuss the victories away from the professional arena, as his son was diagnosed with autism at two years old, and the underdog's victory which all can learn from.

Allen has combined his love for business with his passion for sports and is the Founder and Head Visionary of Xs & Os of Success -- a leadership, organizational and professional development company which uses the platform of sports and its teachings to help individuals and teams maximize their potential in business and life. The Xs & Os of Success works with a network of national contacts in the sports industry, including coaches, athletes and administrators to help provide a unique insight into creating successful environments that produce winning results in the field of business, and in life. Allen also consults for various sports-related organizations and events throughout the nation.

Allen is co-author of the book The Xs and Os of Success: A Playbook for Leaders in Business and Life with current University of Oklahoma head basketball coach Lon Kruger, who is the only coach in history to take five different programs to the NCAA Tournament. Allen also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Dave Rice Foundation, which is led by UNLV head basketball coach Dave Rice. The foundation supports the fight against autism in Nevada. Allen has also been involved with Coaches vs. Cancer for the past seven years, a national partnership between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and American Cancer Society.

Allen is the former Sr. Associate Athletics Director of External Affairs for UNLV Athletics, overseeing the department's marketing, communications and community outreach efforts. During his time working with the UNLV program, the Runnin' Rebel brand returned to national prominence. Under his direction, local interest -- and attendance -- jumped to its highest levels in two decades as UNLV led the West Coast in attendance and reached the Top 15 nationally in average attendance.

Allen earned his master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), as well as his bachelor's degree in Communication from UNLV. A former lay preacher at Las Vegas' Community Lutheran Church, Allen has also spoken to high school students from every state in the nation through "The D.J. Allen Project," an inspirational presentation for youth about special needs students.

"We are pleased to have D.J. Allen close out PACnet '15 with his keynote address and share his wealth of sports and business experience," said Dave Butler, Chief Executive Officer of Paciolan. "His message will resonate with the entire Paciolan community as D.J. has not only built a strong career in athletics and live entertainment, but he brings a personal element and inspiring message with his address."

Paciolan is supporting the fight against autism and making a donation to the Dave Rice Foundation for Allen's appearance.

PACnet '15 provides educational sessions covering executive trends, fan engagement, social media, consumer marketing, Customer Relationship Management, ticketing, and fundraising, all aimed at helping teams and venues sell more and maximize revenue streams.
