PacketExchange Partners With CRG West to Expand North American Presence

Partnership Offers New, Richer Suite of Services and Greater Access for Peering Community

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 20, 2008) - PacketExchange, a leader in wide-area Internet exchange services, today announced its partnership with CRG West, one of the largest managers of carrier-neutral data centers in North America. By partnering with CRG West, PacketExchange will significantly increase its addressable peering community in North America, while also adding CRG West's premier data centers to its wide-area peering network portfolio.

PacketExchange customers, not already resident in CRG West facilities, will now benefit from Any2 Remote™ -- a new service available through the PacketExchange and CRG West partnership. With Any2 Remote, PacketExchange customers can easily access, through a VLAN connection from their existing PacketExchange PoP connection, any CRG West ANY2 peering exchange in North America.

The partnership also introduces, Any2 Local™, a new service that enables CRG West's Any2 exchange peering community to easily connect with the PacketExchange wide-area Internet exchange. Immediately available, Any2 Local will enable CRG West's exchange peering community access to PacketExchange's rich suite of services offered through the CRG West network fabric, including:

eXpress™ - A closely monitored, shared VLAN service that enables multi-lateral, wide-area peering. This involves a dynamic global exchange that allows customers to rapidly and cost-effectively discover, establish and manage multiple delivery relationships with over 120 customers connected to the PacketExchange eXpress™ fabric.

ProXimity™ - A secure and dedicated VLAN connection designed to allow customers to bilaterally peer their networks directly and cost-effectively, without compromising visibility, control or service levels across a wide-area peering network.

DireXion™ - Provides guaranteed security and service quality of a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint private network combined with the simplicity and flexibility of Ethernet technology.

"This partnership contributes to both companies' desire to make a more powerful, more efficient and overall better performing global Internet," said John Savageau, Managing Director of CRG West. "We are pleased this partnership has come into fruition. We look forward to continue to work with PacketExchange to offer our customers the highest level of service and value-add solutions through the Any2 fabric."

"Teaming up with CRG West not only enables us to increase our international peering capabilities, but it allows our customers to benefit from a richer set of services and greater access to a larger addressable peering community," said Jason Velody, CTO of PacketExchange. "This partnership is testament to PacketExchange's ongoing pursuit to work with premier partners, like CRG West, that enable the company to offer its customers the greatest number of peering opportunities available."
