PageUp People Develops Enhanced CareerPath App for Windows 8

New Release of Critically Acclaimed Career Development Solution to Help Employees and Managers Explore Future Career Paths

ATLANTA, GA and MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Oct 25, 2012) - PageUp People™, a Multinational Talent Management solutions provider, today announced that it has developed a new consumer app version of CareerPath, the company's industry-leading employee career path development solution, which will be available for download through the Windows Store on October 26th, 2012.

Developed with the latest Microsoft technologies, the CareerPath app supports touch command patterns and social connectors, as well as search and share. This SaaS-based solution enables employees to explore career advancement and future opportunities, and managers to engage them in constructive dialog about the skills needed to advance and link development plans and training to help them prepare for new roles within their organisation.

"Apps are what power the new experience in Windows 8," said John Richards, senior director of Windows App Marketing for Microsoft Corp. "Businesses such as PageUp People are re-imagining the app by taking advantage of the features of Windows 8 to design something that is uniquely personal and delivers content consumers want."

The latest release of the CareerPath app also connects users to LinkedIn profiles and other social connections, enabling employees to work within their own professional network to explore real career pathways and plan their future. Users are able to navigate career pathways from their current position, or they can target a desired role to see how they can get there. Once a path is selected, the employee can explore the career opportunities, plan for the appropriate development activities and connect with mentors for advice along the way.

"We are passionate about pioneering technology that will create the workplace of the future. Business success is tightly connected with employee engagement, one of the key drivers of which is the availability of dynamic and transparent career opportunities," said Karen Cariss, CEO of PageUp People. "The best talent knows what it wants and will increasingly demand access to pathways that facilitate accelerated learning and promotion. We deliver this unique and compelling capability with CareerPath -- and Windows 8 provides the perfect platform for an unsurpassed employee experience."

The new CareerPath App will be released in the Windows Store on October 26, 2012.
