Paladin Resources-Work Continues at Kayelekera Uranium Project, Malawi

PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - June 8, 2007) - Paladin Resources Ltd. (TSX:PDN)(ASX:PDN) -

Paladin Resources Ltd. confirmed today that work continues at its Kayelekera Uranium Project in Malawi and that press reports to the effect that an injunction has been obtained which has halted work on the project are inaccurate.

As announced by Paladin on May 28, its subsidiary, Paladin (Africa) Limited ("PAL") and the Government of Malawi have been named defendants in two actions commenced by a group of Non-Government Organisations("NGO's") in Malawi. A hearing in respect of these actions is scheduled for June 19, 2007.

As further announced by Paladin on June 7, the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Malawi has released a statement indicating its support for the Kayelekera Uranium Project and strongly refuting claims made by the NGO's.

Paladin remains confident that it has proceeded in the proper manner with regard to developing the Kayelekera Uranium Project and is encouraged by the positive stance the Government of Malawi has taken on this important matter.
