Palm Desert Veterinarian Unleashes New Animal Hospital Website

PALM DESERT, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 30, 2011) - The Country Club Animal Clinic, a veterinary hospital treating pets in the Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indio, and Indian Wells areas, just launched a new website giving pet owners a wealth of resources regarding pet health issues, including access to their pets' patient records online. The website, http://countryclubdvm.com, also provides a video library containing clips about everything from pet dental care and obesity to tick control and dog surgery, while the "Vetopedia" gives website visitors a glossary of veterinary terms pet owners might hear during a vet clinic appointment.

Veterinarian Dr. Lillian Roberts, owner of the veterinary hospital, remarked: "We are excited to launch this redesigned website with all of the new resources and information for pet owners. We understand how important it is for pet owners to have information about their pet's health at their fingertips, and this website offers that."

The new ePetRecords area, for instance creates a secure portal enabling pet owners to log in and access their pets' information, as well as communicate with animal hospital staff. From here, owners can access lab results, update addresses, request appointments, ask general questions, and set up alert notifications for vaccination appointments and medication dosages. The Palm Desert veterinarian and her staff can then respond to pet owners via email, also through this portal. Pet owners can also print necessary forms ahead of an appointment, instead of filling them out during a stressful appointment at the vet clinic with an injured or sick pet.

"We are eager for pet owners to explore what we have on our new veterinary hospital site because we really believe it will help them enhance their lives with their pets and make veterinary care not only easier, but more enjoyable as well," continues Dr. Roberts. In addition to the ePetRecords portal, an additional members-only section gives website members access to exclusive pet wellness program content, a free newsletter subscription and a special section just for children. This Pets4Kids section helps educate children about pet care with quizzes, games and coloring books.

Dr. Roberts also emphasizes that, "Although there is a lot of members-only content on the site, anyone who cares about animals is welcome to access a wealth of animal health information here." Visitors to the vet clinic website can learn about many common health problems in the "We Help Your Pet With..." section, or visit the "Vetopedia" page to explore veterinary terminology. Educational video clips about numerous animal health topics are available in the "Video Newsroom." There are also several sections geared toward helping people interested in bringing home a new pet. These pages on choosing, finding and living with a pet help prospective pet owners make informed choices from the day a family brings home a new pet, to the day they have to say goodbye.

Dr. Roberts reiterates, "Informed pet owners have the happiest pets. We hope all animal lovers will enjoy the new website, and that it will help them get the most out of their visits to our animal hospital."
