Panasonic Introduces Elite Line of Corded Desktop SIP Phones

SECAUCUS, NJ--(Marketwire - Aug 3, 2011) - Panasonic, a leader in business telephone systems, today announced the introduction of a new line of corded SIP telephones, adding to its current series of cordless SIP models in the U.S. market. Packed with state-of-the-art features, the new UT series offers a communications solution for small and mid-size businesses.

Session Initiation Protocol, or SIP for short, provides a stable connection between IP communication-based devices and applications that integrates with email, web, voice mail, instant messaging, multiparty conferencing and multimedia collaboration. Panasonic's SIP phones are easy to use and are interoperable with the fast-growing market of Hosted Service Providers and with SIP-based IP PBX platforms. The UT Series phones are certified by BroadSoft on Broadworks and Digium's Asterisk. The SIP phone models, KX-UT136-B, KX-UT133-B, KX-UT123-B and KX-UT113-B, offer reliable and clear multimedia communications, while remaining affordable and cost-effective.

"The benefits of a standards-based approach, such as with SIP phones, are especially compelling in today's business environment where every dollar counts and flexibility and reuse are highly desirable. Panasonic's SIP phones are designed to be expandable at no additional cost, without sacrificing quality," said Bill Taylor, President, Panasonic System Networks Company of America. "Our phones are also easily provisioned and interoperable, allowing the customer to expand their communication capabilities as their needs grow."

Panasonic SIP phones provide end-user savings with low power consumption while in Eco mode. Panasonic also offers a two-year limited warranty on all UT Series models.

Other outstanding features include:

  • Easy configuration with extensive provisioning options
  • High Definition audio (G.722 codec) for true wideband voice quality on all models
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) in all models
  • Electric Hook Switch (EHS) for Plantronics headsets
