Panasonic Thailand, One of South East Asia's Largest Consumer Electronic Manufacturers, Deploys Multiple Procera Networks' PacketLogic Appliances

PacketLogic Installed to Monitor and Control Bandwidth Usage and Optimize Mission Critical Applications

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 31, 2007 -- Procera® Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: PRNW), a pioneering developer of intelligent network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, announced that Panasonic Thailand has installed Procera Networks' PacketLogic appliances to monitor, control and optimize network traffic at its manufacturing facility in Samutprakarn, Thailand. The units are located at the central network operations center (NOC) to ensure optimal network bandwidth is appropriated to mission critical applications required to maximize the plant's manufacturing efficiencies and productivity.

The Panasonic Thailand's facility employs more than 4,000 people and produces a combination of home appliances and cooling systems. "We deployed the PacketLogic appliances at the aggregation point of the network traffic coming into the NOC from multiple sites before going out to the Internet in order to control applications not mission critical, or potentially harmful to our manufacturing operations. The IT department gained new network monitoring capabilities, along with detailed historical statistics of individual IP traffic and bandwidth usage through PacketLogic's unique search and reporting functionality," said Angkhana Chayatanan, IT Planning/Country Manager at Panasonic Management (Thailand).

Procera Networks' partner in the region, NForce, deployed the PacketLogic solution over six months ago, and has helped the IT department easily deploy multiple policy-based rules to control persons sharing files, accessing media streaming applications, and to significantly reduce the bandwidth expense to Panasonic due to inappropriate or personal use of the network. "As a security-based systems integrator, we have worked with Procera on multiple installations in the South East Asia region. Our goal in deploying PacketLogic was to help Panasonic Thailand protect its core asset, the network, with additional layers of network security beyond the firewall, and a monitoring and reporting capability necessary to maintain the network at optimal performance," said Mark Nakrop Niamnamtham, Managing Director at Nforce.

"As bandwidth requirements and security risks continue to explode due to the significant growth in Internet accessible devices, wireless access methods, video-based content, and peer-2-peer file sharing applications, the impact across industries, including large organizations like Panasonic will be significant unless an effective bandwidth and application management solution is in place. These requirements are enabling Procera's significant growth in our territory," said Mikael Herrlin, Asia Pacific Territory Manager for Procera Networks. Herrlin concludes, "PacketLogic provides not only the tools to view live network traffic by user, application and protocol, but also the capability to mitigate the looming bandwidth saturation crisis in many corporation's networks."
