TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 22, 2016) - Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (TSX VENTURE:PAN) (the "Company" or "Pangolin") is pleased to announce that it has filed a 43-101 technical report ("43-101") on its Malatswae Diamond Project.
The 43-101 was prepared by iQuest under the supervision of Mr. Ian McGeorge MSc. C.Geol., qualified person. The full report may be viewed at www.sedar.com.
The following is a short summary of the work the Company is presently undertaking, or has undertaken, on its various projects.
Motloutse Diamond Project
Detailed soil sampling has been completed over the "MSD Grid" in the eastern part of the Motloutse Diamond Project. The samples have been processed and the concentrates sorted. A diamond, several kimberlitic garnets and ilmenites were sorted from the concentrates. An extension to the MSD Grid is currently being sampled. It is noted that a diamond was reported from the MSD Grid area in 1996 by MIT Ventures Ltd.
Malatswae Diamond Project
A semi-detailed sampling programme over Block 333 in the Malatswae project has been completed. A total of 275 samples were collected on a 250m x 250m grid covering 15 square kilometres. The samples are being treated and sorted at present. A diamond has been found in one of the samples. This extends the presence of diamonds as reported from soil samples by Pangolin Diamonds into four geographically different areas of the Malatswae project. A total of 14 diamonds have now been observed in soil samples from the Malatswae Diamond Project.
Taking the recommendations of the 43-101 prepared by iQuest into consideration, a detailed soil sampling programme has commenced over an 18 Ha area of the "MTS Grid". Results from this programme are expected in 2017.
Regional soil sampling is in progress over areas of the Malatswae Diamond Project area that have not been covered by regional sampling in the past.
Moenyenana Diamond Project
Aeromagnetic targets selected from public domain aeromagnetic data obtained from the Geological Survey of Botswana are systematically being followed up on the ground with a series of soil samples over individual aeromagnetic targets. The programme will continue into 2017.
Jwaneng South Diamond Project
A systematic 1 x 1 km soil sampling survey is in progress. The initial regional sampling programme is expected to be completed in 2017.
Machaneng South Diamond Project
A systematic programme of soil sampling is in progress over aeromagnetic anomalies selected from public domain aeromagnetic survey data obtained from the Geological Survey of Botswana. The programme is expected to continue into 2017.
The Company's treasury is fully funded to complete the above described exploration programmes.
