Pannaway Increases Value of Its MAGNM-20 With 2.5 GPON and Non-Blocking Fabric

Telcos Can Now Leverage High-Density Copper, Active Ethernet and 2.5 GPON, Using the Same, Fully Managed Carrier-Grade Ethernet/IP Platform

PORTSMOUTH, NH--(Marketwire - February 27, 2008) - *Pannaway Networks, designers and developers of next-generation Ethernet/IP Multi-Service Access Platforms for telecommunications service providers, today announced the availability of new 2.5 GPON access modules and a higher speed 10GbE transport fabric for its award-winning MAGNM-20 Multi-Service Access Platform (MSAP). The MAGNM-20 is an integral component of Pannaway's Service Convergence Network (SCN™) architecture and is the industry's most flexible and scalable broadband access platform enabling service providers to enhance revenues by evolving their legacy networks to Ethernet/IP -- at-will -- using the most appropriate and affordable access technology available.

Pannaway's award-winning MAGNM-20 is the industry's densest, carrier-class, non-blocking GPON platform based on Ethernet. And, it can be seamlessly upgraded to support new access technologies without any disruption to existing network operation.

Adding muscle to flexibility, Pannaway is also announcing the availability of a new 10 GbE transport fabric for the MAGNM-20. This new, high performance fabric is the next iteration of its industry-unique, separated access/transport fabric and will enable telcos to increase the performance of their MAGNM-20 platform -- at-will -- to support emerging high bandwidth applications for decades to come. The new 10 GbE transport fabric can also be deployed without causing disruption to a telco's operational network.

The new transport fabric and GPON blades will enter customer beta trials in Q2.
