Pannaway Responds to Customer Demand for Ethernet/IP Evolution Solutions With Organizational Expansion

Pannaway Adds Siemens Veteran Ed Buchner as VP of Corporate Marketing and Partner Development, and Appoints Kevin Brown to VP of Solutions and Product Marketing

PORTSMOUTH, NH--(Marketwire - January 31, 2008) - Pannaway Networks*, designers and developers of next generation, Ethernet/IP Multi-Service Access Platforms for telecommunications companies, today announced that it has expanded its investment in its strategic partner program and product solutions development team by hiring Ed Buchner as the company's Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Partner Development, and appointing Kevin Brown to the newly created position of Vice President of Solutions and Product Marketing. The organizational expansion underscores the maturing company's focus on developing further enhancements to its next-generation Service Convergence Network (SCN™) architecture, while creating new, strategic vendor partnerships that will facilitate the rapid evolution of Ethernet/IP and fiber to the home (FTTH) for telco customers.

Ed Buchner joins Pannaway after a 25-year career focused on telecommunications with Siemens Communications. Prior to Pannaway, Ed began his telco career as an operations engineer with New York Telephone and PBX builder TeleResources. In 1983, he joined ROLM within the sales department and has held sales and marketing management positions with its subsequent owners, IBM and Siemens. While at Siemens, Ed also held the position of Director of Business Development for Siemens' Carrier Networks, with a particular focus on PON and VoIP solutions. Ed will utilize his existing relationships and proven partner development skills to expand the company's strategic partner program, building new relationships with strategic vendors that will optimize Pannaway's Ethernet/IP and FTTH solutions.

Kevin Brown has 15-plus years of marketing, product marketing and product management experience in the networking and telecom industry. This newly created role allows Kevin to focus his vast experience and knowledge on developing new Ethernet/IP-based, convergence solutions based on the SCN architecture and the rapidly growing family of Pannaway products. Kevin has also been active in many industry associations and committees throughout his career, giving him insight into the evolving solutions needed by the telco community.
