Pano Logic - PC Challenge Demonstrates Desktop Virtualization Performance Gains

Pano Logic to Conduct Head-to-Head Performance Exhibition at BriForum

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 13, 2011) - Pano Logic, the leader in zero client desktop virtualization, today announced that it would conduct the Pano - PC Challenge at BriForum Conference in Chicago, Illinois, July 19 - 21, 2011. The Pano - PC Challenge offers BriForum attendees a hands-on, head-to-head comparison of virtual desktop infrastructure and PC performance across multiple productivity tasks.

Pano Logic desktop virtualization will be put to the test against competitive thin clients and three PC configurations: Windows XP and Windows 7 on low and high performance hardware. Attendees will have an opportunity to observe Microsoft Office application responsiveness and video playback for a variety of formats. Benchmark testing reports on CPU consumption, memory consumption and video performance will also be available.

"Recently, the Sarrel Group conducted benchmark testing of desktop virtualization and PC performance for every-day real-world tasks, such as scrolling through Excel and PowerPoint or streaming video," said Dana Loof, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Pano Logic. "The key findings illustrate that desktop virtualization has reached a comparable and at times better performance to physical computing, so we're inviting BriForum attendees to see for themselves with our Pano - PC Challenge."

Pano Logic is a silver sponsor of the BriForum conference and will be exhibiting the PC Challenge at booth #1-2. The BriForum conference is the only technical event that is 100 percent dedicated to desktop virtualization, VDI, application virtualization, and remote desktop services.
