Panorama Software Releases Anticipated Business Intelligence Suite for SAP

Leading BI Vendor Launches its Flagship Suite, Panorama NovaView'R' 5 Release 2 for SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence

TORONTO, ONTARIO and ORLANDO, FLORIDA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 13, 2006) - Panorama Software, a global leader in business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced at the SAP Reporting and Analytics Conference in Orlando, Florida, the general availability of Panorama NovaView® 5, Release 2 for SAP NetWeaver BI (SAP BW). After recently achieving full SAP certified integration and becoming a Powered by NetWeaver partner, the Company tailored their flagship solution to empower more enterprises using SAP NetWeaver to improve their BI capabilities.

The new release of NovaView® 5 differentiates itself from all other 3rd party BI solutions for SAP by the fact that Panorama NovaView® connects directly to SAP's NetWeaver BI platform without performing any data or metadata extractions, enhancing performance and scalability, as well as leveraging the investments customers have put into the platform. Panorama NovaView® also extends the reach of SAP BEx by making SAP BW Queries more accessible and interactive for information workers.

"Panorama Software is proud to diversify our flagship solution to be the only 3rd party BI Company to offer an innovative suite of front-end applications that directly connects information workers to SAP NetWeaver BI data," said Eynav Azarya, CEO, Panorama Software. "With NovaView 5 Release 2, we have eliminated layers of complexity found in other solutions for SAP's BI platform, to offer the first fully integrated, functional and simple-to-use technology that is proven to out-perform other solutions in the market today."

The new release of NovaView® 5 builds on all the components offered in the initial version of the product, which supports Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Service, but is now customized to also work directly against SAP NetWeaver BI.

"We have focused on making this a revolutionary release for SAP users," said Oudi Antebi, VP Marketing and Strategy, Panorama Software. "The key capabilities we will introduce with this product release will ultimately enhance performance and scalability, and extend usability of the SAP NetWeaver BI platform to enable information workers to use BI in a self-service mode with advanced functionality and interactivity."

Some of the key capabilities and benefits of NovaView® 5 Release 2 include, but are not limited to:

- Advanced caching and connection pooling for the best BW performance available;

- Provides end users with powerful yet intuitive capabilities such as 'self service reporting', full data interaction such as filtering, sorting, exception management and more;

- Enhances enterprise delivery of BI through variety of front end tools: mySAP Portal, SharePoint, Dashboards, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and more;

- Integrates with the SAP BEx and is designed to directly run on InfoCubes, BW Queries and ODS;

- Advanced user collaboration ; and

- Enhanced security options at each level (portal/web/access) to ensure data is accessed confidentially and at the discretion of the organization.

"The biggest adoption challenge in the BI space today is easy access to information by business workers," said Colin White, Founder and President of BI Research. "There is still too much complexity associated with BI that prevents end users from freely exploring and sharing data. This is especially true in the SAP environment where most of the available tools require hands on involvement from analysts and IT staff for defining and changing reports and analyses. This prevents end users from gaining the full benefits of the BI environment. Panorama Software is releasing a product that not only improves BI usability for business workers, but also adds an important collaborative BI environment that is lacking in most BI solutions today."

"Panorama NovaView 5 for SAP enables us to take advantage of multiple platforms, but through a simple, single application," said Lesley Bourget, Director of Finance, Apotex. "We have the power to merge data from multiple platforms, and benefit from the simplicity of a one-window approach to reporting and analysis. We have already experienced a tremendous shift in efficiency with the Beta release of NovaView 5, and look forward to reaping all the benefits this solution offers us as we move forward with Panorama."

"By offering their flagship solution to SAP users, Panorama has once again demonstrated they can evolve to meet the needs of the ever-changing enterprise," said Alex Resnick, President, Catalytics Group. "We are a proud partner of Panorama Software, and as they continue to expand their service offerings, we continue to support their innovation and ingenuity, as it ultimately enables us to expand our customer base."

Panorama NovaView® 5 Release 2 will be generally available by the end of November 2006.
