Panvidea Appoints Media Industry Executive Bernard Gershon to Advisory Board

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - March 30, 2010) - Panvidea, a global leader in the on-demand video processing, preparation and distribution of entertainment and advertising content across any digital platform, has today announced that Bernard Gershon, the former Senior Vice President and General Manager of corporate strategy, business development and technology at The Walt Disney Company is the first member to join its Advisory Board following the re-launch of the brand.

The Panvidea Advisory Board was established to better develop products and services that will benefit its clients and the media industry at large. The board meets regularly to discuss crucial business and technology issues that affect media companies, broadcasters, advertisers and direct marketers, with a mandate to further explore new technologies such as cloud computing and new media distribution channels that are providing fresh opportunities for creating, exchanging and monetizing content in an increasingly convergent media environment.

Mr. Gershon brings a wealth of experience to the position as a global media executive and digital industry leader, following 15 years at Disney where Gershon served most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of corporate strategy, business development and technology. Mr Gershon led ground-breaking efforts at Disney to launch Disney, ABC and ABC News video products on new digital platforms including mobile and broadband and was responsible for identifying and launching new business opportunities with numerous global partners including Yahoo, AOL, Apple, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, RealNetworks, SMG (Shanghai Media Group) and MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Corporation).

Chris Cali, CEO, Panvidea said: "To have an industry executive like Bernie on the advisory board is a significant step and positions us extremely well for the future. As an influential strategist, entrepreneur and innovator within the sector, Bernie is someone everyone listens to. We have ambitious plans for the business and having Bernie on board is a significant step in achieving those plans."

The advisory relationship with Gershon follows news from Panvidea in March 2010 of its rebranding and enhanced product offering in the video post-production sector. Panvidea also announced new customers A&E Television Networks, Fox Broadcasting Company and Getty Images.

Bernard Gershon said: "It is certainly an exciting time for Panvidea and the sector at large. The recent announcements regarding the new round of funding, the re-launch of Panvidea and the significant product enhancements pave the way for a bright and successful future. Particularly at this time, I am excited to be invited to join the advisory board and contribute to the continued success of the business."
