Paradigm Learning's Catherine Rezak Contributes to Industry Training Manual

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - June 24, 2008) - Catherine J. Rezak, chairwoman and cofounder of Paradigm Learning, a business games, business simulations and Discovery Maps® company, recently contributed an article to Pfeiffer's The Trainer's Portable Mentor. Rezak's article is entitled "Discovery Learning: The Driving Force Behind Achieving Real Organizational Change."

Rezak begins the article with a "passion statement": "Today, the promise of sustainable change hinges on the human beings who comprise the learning organization's most sacred assets. People have always been, and continue to be, the true answer to change."

In the article, Rezak writes about the history of discovery learning, instructivism and the Nurnberg Funnel as they relate to experiential training. "A review of the many theories of adult learning is intriguing -- not so much for their differences, but for their similarities," she says. "Today we recognize that most theorists define at least three distinct phases of experiential learning: the experiential phase, the reflective phase and the testing phase."
