Paraxip Technologies Launches NetBorder Software Suite

Powerful software solution enables enterprises to simplify, accelerate and improve efficiency of IP Telephony deployments

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2007) - Paraxip Technologies (, a leading developer of connectivity products that empower the deployment of IP telephony, has launched its NetBorder Software Suite, designed to facilitate deployment of SIP-based solutions in the contact center and the enterprise.

The NetBorder Software Suite is a VoIP session and media controller that combines the features of media gateways, session controllers and media servers with powerful scripting engines to simplify and accelerate the deployment of sophisticated SIP-based applications.

"Enterprise and contact center communications are rapidly embracing the power of VoIP but are still struggling with workable and easy deployments," says Paraxip President and CEO Serge Forest. "Sophisticated telephony applications such as unified messaging, ACD, outbound dialing, quality monitoring and IVRs are all moving rapidly towards the IP infrastructure. However, SIP-based enterprise applications still require the capability to interconnect and reach a plethora of network types and end-points that support multiple physical interfaces, network topologies, media types, protocol variations and security policies. With such a varied landscape, the deployment of SIP platforms becomes extremely complex."

NetBorder is designed as a new enterprise product class and consists of a suite of software modules that combine to provide critical network connectivity, signaling harmonization, media processing, media conversion and call control scripting to seamlessly integrate IP telephony applications.

Using a flexible software licensing model, customers can purchase the capabilities they need the most at each stage of deployment or as their requirements evolve over time, without the need to change hardware platforms.

Paraxip anticipates strong demand for NetBorder over a wide range of solutions including:

- Outbound Contact Center and proactive notification solutions: The NetBorder platform provides sophisticated Call Progress Analysis capabilities on both TDM and IP networks. NetBorder uses unique pattern-recognition algorithms to provide superior accuracy in distinguishing live responses from voice mail systems or other devices and signals. The technology significantly increases agent productivity, reduces connection time to callers and streamlines the outbound calling deployment process.

- Inbound Contact Centers and IVR: NetBorder provides comprehensive TDM and IP connectivity capabilities, as well as SIP Mediation services that allow the integration of SIP Contact Center and IVR platforms into complex, multi-vendor enterprise infrastructure.

- Unified Communication solutions: The NetBorder platform provides a new level in cost effectiveness and simplicity in connectivity between UC platforms and legacy switches, PBXs and other devices.

- Call logging and quality monitoring: NetBorder provides comprehensive IP call recording and IP call forking capabilities that can be used to deliver call logging and quality monitoring at a fraction of the cost of traditional hardware-based IP recording products.

"Today the IP telephony connectivity market is served by a myriad of complex and costly hardware appliances, and we believe our powerful software-only solution ensures the utmost cost-effectiveness and efficient delivery of applications in the enterprise and contact center," says Forest.

Paraxip's development teams have been working for more than two years to bring the patent-pending NetBorder Software Suite to market. The product is currently in customer trials and is expected to be generally available in November 2007.
