Parc Downsview Park Inc. Welcomes a New Chair of Its Board of Directors

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - Parc Downsview Park Inc. (PDP) is pleased to welcome Mr. David Soknacki as chair of its Board of Directors. The Government of Canada has appointed Mr. Soknacki as chair of the Board of Directors of PDP for a term of five years.

Mr. Soknacki has extensive experience in municipal government having served as councillor for the cities of Scarborough and Toronto. He has also served as a board member for the Toronto District Health Council, chair of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, and director of the Metropolitan Toronto Housing Development Corporation. He is also currently a columnist for Metroland Publishing. Mr. Soknacki founded Ecom Trading Corporation in 1986, a distribution and manufacturing business, where he serves as president, employs over 20 staff members and exports to approximately 30 countries. Mr. Soknacki holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Western Ontario and a bachelor of commerce from the University of Toronto.
