Parks Canada: Public Consultation Regarding the Cartier-Brebeuf National Historic Site of Canada Management Plan

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 29, 2006) - Parks Canada is currently holding a public consultation in regards to the revision of the Cartier-Brebeuf National Historic Site of Canada Management Plan. The goal of this consultation is to give interested people and organizations a chance to express their concerns and points of view regarding the future of this historic site.

Information and exchange sessions will be held in order to allow Parks Canada to present the main points being considered for the development of the site in the coming years. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the Centre communautaire Jean-Guy Drolet located at 16 Royal-Roussillon Street in Quebec. The first session will begin at 1:30 p.m. and a second will be held at 7:30 p.m.

The main points are presented in a document which can be obtained by calling (418) 649-6181 or via e-mail (renald.gauthier@pc.gc.ca). A summary is also available on the Cartier-Brebeuf NHSC website (www.pc.gc.ca/brebeuf).
