Parks Canada: Public Consultation Regarding the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site of Canada Management Plan

TROIS-RIVIERES, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 7, 2006) - Parks Canada is currently holding a public consultation in regards to the revision of the Management Plan for the Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site. The goal of this consultation is to give interested people and organizations a chance to express their concerns and points of view regarding the future of this historic site which commemorates Canada's first industrial community.

Information and exchange sessions will be held in order to allow Parks Canada to present the main points being considered for the development of the site in the coming years. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the National Historic Site itself, located at 10,000, boulevard des Forges. The first session will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the second will be held in the evening at 7:00 p.m.
