Parrot Launches Hands-Free Consumer Awareness Campaign With $10,000 Sweepstakes

Californians Urged to Petition for a New State Bird

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 19, 2008) - In this highly charged political year, a new petition is being launched in California to recall the state bird. Have you ever wondered what the state bird has done for you lately? If the answer is "nothing," then take action today! Petition Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to launch a statewide initiative to recall the California Valley Quail. Instead vote for a bird known not only for its strong morale character, family values and intelligence, but one that is actually trying to improve the community: Parrot.

Go to www.parrotnotquail.com and sign the petition to the Governor to replace the California Valley Quail, with Parrot. You will join drivers around the state in remaining calm, cool and collected behind the wheel by learning to avoid distracted driving and understanding what hands-free options are right for you.

"The California Valley Quail has been around for 77 years, with no results. On the other hand, Parrot has long been a champion of important issues, such as being a family friend and pet, he is now taking on support of the up-coming July 1st hands-free legislation through education," said Mike Hedge, campaign advisor, Parrot Inc. "Parrot aims to rid the roads of distracted drivers, those careless cell-phone wielding multi-taskers, in an effort to make people's commutes a more stress-free, zen-like experience."

At www.parrotnotquail.com site visitors will also find games, social media, funny videos, and tips for distraction-free driving. Visitors can also review a range of hands-free options and learn more about the benefits of using a hands-free mobile phone device while driving. In addition, by signing the petition, visitors will automatically enter a sweepstakes to win $10,000 or a trip to the exotic Parrot Cay (in Turks and Caicos). Participants can also play Parrot's Instant Win Game every day between June 9th - August 9th for a chance to win either a Parrot portable MINIKIT or a Parrot 3200 LS-color car kit with free installation.

Parrot Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of hands-free car kits has launched a campaign to vote for the Parrot to become the official State Bird of California, to build awareness and encourage compliance for the July 1st California hands-free law. No quails were harmed in the development of this campaign. More information about Parrot can also be found at: http://www.parrot.com/usa and www.parrotsafedriving.com.
