Parsons Announces 2010 Sustainability Report

PASADENA, CA--(Marketwire - November 30, 2010) -  Parsons is pleased to announce the release of its 2010 Sustainability Report: People, Planet, Progress. This 40-page document describes Parsons' commitment to conduct its enterprise in concert with environmental/energy, sociocultural, and economic goals benefiting future generations.

"We're pleased to share our work in sustainability with our stakeholders," said Chuck Harrington, Parsons' Chairman and CEO. "Sustainability is one of our six core values that guide us as an organization. As a core value, it is an integral part of who we are, reflecting long-held beliefs."

People, Planet, Progress highlights examples of sustainability in Parsons' projects, areas where the corporation has achieved the greatest impact in providing innovative sustainable solutions to its customers -- as well as efforts to make its overall operations even more sustainable, reduce its environmental/energy footprints, and manage its carbon intensity. The report includes information about Parsons' social impacts, including safety, diversity, and contributions to communities where it operates.

In the interest of using a credible, internationally recognized reporting approach, Parsons incorporated select metrics of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to summarize its accomplishments -- GRI is a network-based organization that has pioneered the development of the world's most widely used sustainability reporting framework.
