Partners REIT Announces Changes to Its Board of Trustees

BARRIE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 3, 2014) - Partners Real Estate Investment Trust (the "REIT," or "Partners") (TSX:PAR.UN) is pleased to announce that Mr. Lindsay Adam Weiss and Mr. Kevin VanAmburg have been appointed to the REIT's Board of Trustees.

Mr. Weiss is Managing Director and founder of PivotalPoint Advisory Group Inc., an advisory firm that specializes in providing small-to-medium sized businesses with advice on both corporate development and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding PivotalPoint, Mr. Weiss spent nearly 20 years in senior roles at CIBC World Markets and Dundee Capital Markets, two of Canada's leading investment banks. Mr. Weiss possesses extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate development. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen's University.

Mr. VanAmburg possesses more than 30 years of experience in the securities and investment brokerage industry, where he developed specializations in wealth management, corporate finance, and investor relations. Over his career, Mr. VanAmburg has held senior advisory and management roles with multiple banks and brokerages, including Raymond James, the Royal Bank of Canada, TD, Waterhouse, and Wellington West. Mr. VanAmburg also served as a Partner of The Hathaway Corporation, a corporate finance advisory firm.

In conjunction with these appointments, Partners announced that Allen Weinberg has resigned from the REIT's Board of Trustees. The REIT would like to thank Mr. Weinberg for his contributions.
