Parvus Awarded AS9100 Aerospace Quality Certification

Rigorous Quality Standard for Aerospace Industry Furthers Parvus' Legacy of Quality-Certified Electronics Manufacturing and Design

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - December 21, 2010) - Parvus Corporation announces its successful certification to AS9100 -- a standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. AS9100 encompasses all ISO 9001 requirements while adding additional standards relating to quality and safety. Accredited ISO registrar Eagle Registrations Inc. assessed Parvus and found it in full compliance with this globally recognized quality standard. In fact, Parvus received a rare perfect 100% audit score.

The AS9100 standard was established by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) for the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality and safety, and reductions in cost throughout the value stream. The standard also drives cost reductions throughout the aerospace industry supply chain. Many prime aerospace contractors, including the Boeing Company, now require AS9100 compliance of their suppliers.

"AS9100 is rapidly becoming a prerequisite for doing business in the aerospace industry as it provides more controls and greater assurances," said Bryce McMillan, Quality Assurance Manager for Parvus. "By meeting the stringent requirements necessary for this international quality system standard, Parvus is proving its commitment to provide world-class rugged embedded computing and communication subsystems. Our aerospace customers as well as government and civil contractors alike will benefit from higher product quality and associated cost reductions."

Parvus' culture of ongoing quality assurance formally started in 1993 when it became the first company headquartered in Utah to meet the rigorous demands of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality management certification. Parvus was initially certified to the ISO 9001:1987 standards, then subsequently ISO 9001:1994 and ISO 9001:2000 standards. Earlier this year, Parvus was certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standard -- the latest international quality management standard and framework focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance.

These accreditations focus on product quality, customer satisfaction and continual improvement. Regular audits are conducted by an independent certification body to ensure that Parvus products are designed and manufactured using sound, repeatable processes and that customer satisfaction remain a primary concern.

Parvus Corporation is a leading supplier of rugged COTS computing and IP networking subsystems for Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) constrained military, aerospace, and homeland defense applications.
