Parvus Awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification, Furthering Legacy of Quality-Certified Electronics Manufacturing and Design

Parvus Maintains Commitment to Product Quality and Position as Utah's Longest Running ISO-Certified Company

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - February 25, 2010) - Parvus Corporation announces its successful certification to the ISO 9001:2008 standard -- demonstrating Parvus' 17-year commitment to ISO-certified quality management and continuous improvement. Accredited ISO registrar Eagle Registrations Inc. assessed Parvus and found it in full compliance with this globally recognized ISO quality standard, spanning the scope of "the design, integration, production, and support of embedded computer, control, and communication subsystems and boards for use in military, aerospace, homeland security, transportation, and general industrial applications."

Parvus' culture of ongoing quality assurance formally started in 1993 when it became the first company headquartered in Utah to meet the rigorous demands of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality management certification. Parvus was initially certified to the ISO 9001:1987 standards, then subsequently ISO 9001:1994 and ISO 9001:2000 standards. ISO 9001:2008 is the latest international quality management standard and framework focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance.

"ISO certification is a necessity as our customers are demanding this certification as evidence that procedures are in place to design, manufacture and deliver superior products and service," said Bryce McMillan, Quality Assurance Manager for Parvus. "ISO makes a positive impact on how we conduct business, which is essential for Parvus to maintain its position as a leading supplier of rugged COTS computing and IP networking subsystems."

Parvus is also currently working toward achieving certification for AS9100 during 2010 -- a standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. AS9100 fully incorporates the entirety of the current version of ISO 9001, while adding additional requirements relating to quality and safety. Parvus is expected to receive AS9100 certification by the end of the year.

"An increasing number of our customers are requiring AS9100 certification as it provides more controls and greater assurances for the aerospace industry," said McMillian. "By working to achieve AS9100, Parvus continues to prove its commitment to exceed increasingly stringent industry requirements to provide world-class rugged embedded computing and communication subsystems."

These accreditations focus on product quality, customer satisfaction and continual improvement. Regular audits are conducted by an independent certification body to ensure that Parvus products are designed and manufactured using sound, repeatable processes and that customer satisfaction remain a primary concern.
