For May 2007, the average listed rent price of all listed rentals in these areas was $1,613.93, representing a 3.3% increase over two months ago. This was a general price increase across all rental types, with about 33% of listings in the Pasadena region being houses, duplexes, or triplexes, as opposed to apartments, condos, or townhouses. This ratio of houses to apartments was relatively unchanged over two months ago, when approximately 29% of listings in these areas were listed as houses, etc.

There was a shift toward more studios and one bedroom houses and apartments listed for rent. Two months ago, approximately 39% of listings in the Pasadena region were studios, singles, and one bedrooms. For May 2007, that percentage has increased to approximately 41%.

The largest rent increases occurred in Eagle Rock, where the total increase was 17.6% and South Pasadena, where the total increase was 16.3%. Rent prices also increased in Duarte (Up 7.6%), Glendale (Up 6.5%), Altadena (Up 6.1%), Montrose (Up 5.4%), Pasadena (Up 4.8%), and Monterey Hills (Up 3.2%).

Rent prices decreased in Azusa by 16.4% and Covina by 12.3%. Rent prices were also down in Glendora (Down 12.1%), Arcadia (Down 11.3%), Baldwin Hills (Down 10.7%), Baldwin Park (Down 10.4%), Sierra Madre (Down 8.8%), El Monte (Down 8.5%), and Monrovia (Down 6.4%).
