TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug. 13, 2014) - BlackRock Asset Management Canada Limited (BlackRock Canada), today announced that Pat Chiefalo, a respected expert on exchange-traded funds (ETFs), is joining the BlackRock Canada team as Managing Director, Head of Product for the industry-leading iShares Canada business. Chiefalo, formerly director of ETF Research and Strategy for National Bank Financial, will assume his new role effective September 2nd.

Over a 15-year career in the financial industry, Chiefalo has established himself as one of Canada's pre-eminent expert on ETFs, and has a track record of knowledge and innovative research into ETF flows, product analysis, industry trends and both retail and institutional marketing. Before joining National Bank Financial in 2009, Chiefalo, served as VP, derivatives sales, at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Chiefalo is a CFA Charter Holder, and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
