Patient Perspectives -- a CloudVisit Telemedicine and American Medical Systems collaboration -- Supports Erectile Dysfunction Patients in Penile Implant Decision Making

CloudVisit Telemedicine, in Its Latest Partnership With American Medical Systems, Introduces the Patient Perspectives Program and Reinvents Traditional Information Seeking Routines for Men Living With Erectile Dysfunction

COLD SPRING, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 2, 2015) -  CloudVisit Telemedicine, in partnership with American Medical Systems (AMS), announces the launch of the Patient Perspectives program -- -- that offers support to men who are considering a penile implant. The program offers erectile dysfunction (ED) patients an opportunity to talk directly to men, the program's "Champions," who have undergone the medical procedure and are living with a penile implant. The Patient Champions can be accessed via online video sessions or telephone calls through CloudVisit's technologies and secure website, This discreet program's goal is to confidentially and effectively provide balanced information to potential candidates and help eliminate anxiety that may accompany this decision.

The program's process is simple. An implant candidate will visit the website and "meet" the Champions by reading each Champion's personal story. He will then select the Champion he feels would be the best fit, create a login, and schedule a time to talk. He is not prompted to share any personal information apart from a first name. To talk to a Champion, a potential candidate can call via mobile or landline phone, or -- for face-to-face connecting -- enter a secure online video chat.

During the phone call or video session, candidates discuss everything from the procedure itself to how it has impacted their sex life. Champions can answer unique questions and address potential worries based on personal experiences.

"Providing patients access to other men who have had similar experiences is an important step in the information and education process," states Dr. Gerard Henry of Regional Urology in Shreveport, Louisiana. "I have seen this help patients in my own practice and will look forward to providing my patients this resource."

CloudVisit provided AMS with a completely customized website for optimal success in its Patient Perspectives program aspiration. A website designed without a pre-organized template allows Patient Perspectives to remain a revolutionary standalone service.
