The host of MoneyTalk is joined by Bill Petruck, President of FUNDING matters, to discuss charitable giving, and by Ian Lebane, TD Waterhouse Private Trust, to explore leaving a legacy.

Audience members, comprised of donors, advisors, lawyers and charity executives will have the opportunity to try GIFTABULATOR software, created by FUNDING matters, to explore various giving scenarios that illustrate how donors can leave a more transformative gift. The web-based software will run on workstations located at the event.

Issues to be addressed include: have Canadians maintained their generosity in the face of a challenging economy?; how are boomers approaching charitable giving?; tips to maximize tax credits; and what should clients expect from their advisor when developing a charitable giving strategy?
