Patrick Holland Joins Private Healthcare Systems as Vice President, Network Strategy

WALTHAM, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 1, 2005 -- Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), the nation's leading health care cost management company, today announced the appointment of Patrick Holland to Vice President, Network Strategy. In this newly created position, Mr. Holland will assume responsibility for physician reimbursement strategies nationwide and national contracting efforts.

Mr. Holland brings to PHCS a strong background both in health care and strategic financial management that spans nearly twenty years. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President, Network Contracting and Performance Management at Tufts Health Plan where he achieved success in developing strategy and implementing risk contracting initiatives with hospitals, physicians and large systems.

Previous to Tufts Health Plan, Mr. Holland held several leadership positions within the managed care industry where he gained significant experience in negotiation, contracting strategy and analysis, management, information systems and operational policies and procedures.

Mr. Holland holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University.
