Patriot Berry Farms Acquires Morningstar Farm

First Acquisition is Major Step in Company's Business Plan

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2013) - Patriot Berry Farms, Inc. (OTCBB: PBFI) announces that it completed the acquisition of the Morningstar Blueberry Farm on Friday, November 15, 2013. The farm is an established 10 acre Blueberry farm about 100 miles Northwest of Orlando and 110 miles North of Tampa in Levy County, Florida. It has been agreed that the previous owner will continue to manage the operation, which produced around 14,000 lbs of blueberries during 2012.

"I am delighted to have closed on our first farm purchase last week. Patriot Berry Farms will be supporting the farm manager, Mr. Doug Harmon so that he can maximize the yield of the first picking next April," said Alex Houstoun-Boswall, president of Patriot Berry Farms. "This first acquisition is a major step forward in the Company's business plan. Patriot Berry Farms' strategy is to acquire numerous farms that will provide American families with the delicious taste and excellent health benefits of high quality blueberries."

At this time, the farm manager anticipates a yield of 30,000 lbs. during the five to six week picking season which will begin in early April 2014. This year the yields are expected to be more than double last year's largely due to the installation of additional frost warning equipment and consequently healthier plants. The farm manager has indicated that he expects this season's produce to fetch in excess of $5 per pound which represents a significant increase on last year's rate.

Alex Houstoun-Boswall has confidence in Mr. Harmon's estimate. "It will be interesting to see just how much can be achieved by a dedicated farm manger like Mr. Doug Harmon who has single handedly built up his farm over recent years with true devotion but can now benefit from Patriot Berry Farms' infrastructure and financial support." Over the last few weeks, the Company's director of farming, Mr. Anthony Dimeo, has been identifying potential future farms and farm projects for the company to purchase in the state of New Jersey. The company is planning to start negotiations for the next farms before Christmas with a view to adding them to the Patriot Berry Farms portfolio prior to Q2 2014.

Blueberries Make it to the No.1 berry in the USA
The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council recently announced the results of a survey that shows consumers now rank blueberries ahead of strawberries as their favorite berry.1

Strawberries had reigned supreme since the council first commissioned the consumer attitude survey in 2004. It commissioned a second survey in 2008. The US Department of Agriculture intends to expand their promotional program and fund human health research to increase the average domestic per-person berry consumption from 32 ounces a year in 2012 to 50 ounces by 2017.2
