Paul Allen Joins American Health Care as Chief Operating Officer

ROCKLIN, CA--(Marketwire - August 4, 2009) - American Health Care (AHC) today announced that Paul Allen, with 23 years of experience in prescription benefit management and managed care, has joined AHC as COO.

Paul, 49, is responsible for AHC operations including: sales activity, claims, finance, account management, product development, clinical programs, and information technology.

Before joining the AHC team, Paul provided pharmacy benefit consulting services to Fortune 500, self-insured employers. He served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Account Management for Rite Aid's PBM, Rite Aid Health Solutions. Prior to this, Paul served as Director of Sales (Western United States) for Express Scripts, one of the country's largest pharmacy benefit management companies. He brings extensive operations, contract negotiation, and provider development expertise from his prior positions as President and CEO (1998 to 2000) of California Bankers Insurance Services; Senior Vice President (1996 to 1998) of MedLink, Inc., a preferred provider organization; and Senior Vice President (1994 to 1996) of One Call Medical, Inc., a preferred provider organization. Between 1991 and 1994, Paul served as National Director of Marketing and Managed Care for Signal Medical Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. He began his career as an account executive for Bankers Life and Casualty Company.
