"His broad skill set will be invaluable for helping to grow Visunex into the market leader for newborn and pediatric ophthalmology."

Visunex Medical currently markets the PanoCam Wireless Digital Imaging systems, specifically designed to meet the challenges and needs of performing eye examinations in premature infants, full-term newborns and children. 130-degree fundus imaging is the standard of care for aiding clinicians in diagnosing retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), a potentially blinding condition that affects premature infants. The PanoCam systems are the only wireless imagers that allow complete portability and mobility around the NICU or Nursery with only a small light hand-piece, untethered to a cumbersome rolling cart. Other applications include aiding in diagnosing and documenting childhood eye cancer (retinoblastoma) and shaken baby syndrome in suspected child abuse cases. The systems were designed by Wei Su, the optical Ph.D. and designer behind the first commercialized wide-field infant imaging systems.
