Paul Parmentier Joins Locus as Regional Director of Los Angeles Office

Locus Technologies Establishes Southern California Presence


SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2006 -- Locus Technologies (Locus), the industry leader in specialty environmental remediation services and web-based environmental information management, announced today that Mr. Paul Parmentier joined the company as Regional Director of the Los Angeles Area office. He will be serving Locus's existing and future clients in the Southern California region and will be expanding Locus's consulting and information management practices into growing Southern California markets.

Mr. Parmentier has more than 20 years of experience in a diversity of markets, including brownfields redevelopment, environmental remediation systems, human health risk assessments, and litigation support for Superfund and state lead sites. He has a Masters degree in engineering and natural resources from Kyushu University of Japan, and a Bachelors of Science degree in geology from the University of Brussels in Belgium. He is a California Certified Hydrogeologist (H.G.) and Registered Geologist (R.G.).

As a part of his rich professional experience, Mr. Parmentier held positions with Fluor Daniel GTI and Shaw Environmental. He was project manager at one of the nation's largest VOC-contaminated groundwater plumes at the San Gabriel Valley Superfund Site and managed several Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) site closures and power plant divestiture projects in Southern California. He also provided litigation support for multiple clients.

Mr. Parmentier held the position as president of Southern California branch of the Groundwater Resources Association of California and has taught UCLA Extension courses in site investigation and remediation.
