Event to Share Insight, Best Practices for Improving HR Processes, Driving Team Performance and Achieving Compliance With Latest Regulations

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - Oct 28, 2015) - Paycor, providing companies with intuitive, cloud-based onboarding, HR, payroll and timekeeping software, today announced its upcoming HR & Compliance Web Summit, taking place on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. During this all-day webinar event, attendees will learn about important trends impacting the HR landscape and the best practices to ensure compliance in an increasing regulatory environment.

The challenges for HR professionals are numerous, especially for those at small and medium-sized businesses. From contending with new regulations impacting the business landscape to improving employee performance and continually enhancing HR operations to meet evolving organizational needs, today's HR professionals face a wealth of obstacles that will only grow in 2016. Paycor's HR & Compliance Web Summit is designed to help HR professionals understand these changes and challenges, learn what they can do to improve and set themselves up for continued success in the year ahead.

The summit includes six distinct webinar sessions, led by some of the foremost experts in HR, training and development, and labor regulations. The individual sessions include:

  • Improving Team Performance with Data-driven Decisions (9:00 a.m. EST): In today's workplace, it is imperative that managers understand their employees' motivational needs and drivers to create a dynamic team for optimal business success. In this session, Dolly Penland, business consultant for Predictive Results, will provide an overview of how companies can enhance the development of their teams using group analytics and explore how behavioral assessment data can improve performance and productivity.
  • Assessing HR for a Strong 2016 (10:15 a.m. EST): Assessing the HR function is key to continuous improvement, but where does the process begin? In this session, Lori Kleiman, founder of HR Topics, will explain how to create an effective assessment strategy based on outlining meaningful goals and publicizing expected deliverables to leadership. Kleiman will offer seven steps to make the HR assessment a success.
  • Wage and Hour Law: Decoding Fair Labor Standards Act Regulations (11:30 a.m. EST): Expanding overtime exemptions, updated guidance on worker classifications and inconsistent minimum wages are just some of recent changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) confusing employers. Lee Geiger, partner, Wage and Hour Division for Graydon Head & Richey LLP, will explain the latest wage and hour pronouncements and new potential changes and their impact on businesses today.
  • 5 Ways to Increase Efficiency with One Solution for People Management (1:00 p.m. EST): Increasing organizational efficiency is one of the top priorities for most companies in 2016. In this session, Paycor's John Reding, senior solutions manager, and Tim Ruge, product marketing manager, will share five actionable tips and best practices to streamline key processes through a unified HR and payroll solution.
  • Getting Performance Out of Performance Management (1:45 p.m. EST): To improve performance management, HR professionals must first break the CODE, or the four major components of effective performance management: Conversation, Observation, Data and Execution. During this session, Becky Falvey, senior human resources business partner for Paycor, will provide dynamic examples of how managers can improve their talent development practices and take employees from good to great.
  • 3 HR Issues Small Businesses Should Have on Their Radars (3:00 p.m. EST): As the small business landscape continues to change, companies must be able to keep up. Kerry Lear, director of HR Content, and Lyndsay Christensen, director of HR Services, both of HR AnswerLink, will discuss three key concerns facing small businesses today, including FLSA rule changes, paid sick leave and policy suggestions for handling top employer concerns.

"As HR professionals prepare for the new year, it is essential that they equip themselves with knowledge of the proven strategies that can help them succeed," said Jennifer Bellin, vice president of Marketing for Paycor.
