PCS Edventures! Announces Contracts With Al Riyadh Schools

BOISE, ID--(Marketwire - September 15, 2009) - PCS Edventures! (OTCBB: PCSV) today announced it has recently hosted Dr. Abdulilah Al-Musharraf, who traveled from Riyadh to visit PCS and to discuss recently signed contracts between PCS Middle East and the prestigious Riyadh Schools. Dr. Al-Musharraf, with a PhD in Curriculum Development from Ohio University, has extensive curriculum expertise and has served as the General Director of the Curriculum Department for the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and also as the General Supervisor of the Education Development Project of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS). Riyadh Schools has been working with Dr. Refai and PCS Middle East over the past two years.

Dr. Musharraf said, "I am extremely impressed by PCS and your efforts to transform curriculum design and professional development. Your innovative, student-centered programs are amazing, and are exactly what is needed to improve education in the Middle East. This was a very productive visit which will create a long term relationship between our companies."

The recently signed contracts between PCS and Al Riyadh Schools address the implementation of technology-based laboratories designed and managed by PCS into grades 4 and 7 of Al Riyadh Schools. These labs will be studied for expansion into eleven other Mawhiba schools located throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Abdul Aziz and his Men for Talent and Creativity (Mawhiba) is a national gifted and talented institution chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. The contract also specifies that PCS personnel will teach the classes and manage the labs, and that an annual challenge competition in robotics and engineering will be implemented and managed by PCS. Next year, PCS and Al Riyadh plan to continue expansion of the program with two additional grade levels, and continuing each year until full implementation of all grades from the primary and intermediate stages. "We view this relationship as an outstanding opportunity to position our programs for core curriculum expansion into Saudi public schools," said Joe Equsquiza, VP of International Sales for PCS. "To date, we believe we have secured a good position in out-of-class and after-school activities in Saudi Arabia, and we feel this new relationship will pave the way into the classroom for us."

PCS and Al Riyadh Schools also plan on partnering in other areas including curriculum and professional development for teachers. During his visit, Dr. Musharraf discussed curriculum-publishing opportunities available in the Kingdom that fit well with PCS expertise. He and PCS representatives also met with Idaho State University and discussed the ISU-PCS partnership that enables Saudi teachers to receive continuing education units from ISU. "We plan to launch a significant professional development initiative in partnership with Al Riyadh Schools this Fall," said Dr. Mohammed Yasser Refai, Managing Director of PCS Middle East. "Every educator in the Kingdom can benefit from our teacher certification programs in educational methods and leadership."
