Peabody Dentist Adds Computer Imaging as Part of Smile Makeover Program

PEABODY, MA--(Marketwired - August 28, 2015) - A Peabody dentist trained to place all forms of dental implants has begun offering preview computer imaging as part of his cosmetic makeover services.

Dr. John Argeros, who owns Contemporary Dentistry and Implantology, recently implemented the new technology for cosmetic treatments after using the service for dental implant patients. The imaging allows patients to see the results of their treatment before Dr. Argeros or his staff begins the procedure.

"Patients love to get a look at how they would appear when the treatment is completed," Dr. Argeros said. "With this new imaging, patients can make changes even before we start any procedure. For the staff, we can better explain what we want to accomplish and actually show the patient how the treatments will look once we are finished."

Dr. Argeros will take a series of photographs of the mouth and then use computer enhancement software to show patients each step of their treatment.

"Patients are much more confident and excited about the procedure when they get to see exactly how the results will look," Dr. Argeros said.

Dr. Argeros, who is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, has served the Peabody community for more than 35 years. Contemporary Dentistry and Implantology offers All on 4 dental implants, implants for dentures, crowns, bridges, veneers, teeth whitening, sedation dentistry and most recently, endodontics.

Dr. Argeros began incorporating dental implantology into his practice in the 1980s. His experienced and well-trained staff uses the latest technology to serve patients through paperless dental management software, CT scans, digital radiology, intraoral cameras and CAD/CAM restorations. Contemporary Dentistry and Implantology uses the i-CAT, a Cone Beam Computerized Tomography scanning system that shows a complete scan in just nine seconds.

Dr. Argeros is one of a few hundred dentists in the world who holds a certification in dental implants from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. He also is the former president of the Massachusetts Dental Society of Anesthesiology. In 2009, Dr. Argeros earned the prestigious Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and was also appointed to the review board for the academy’s publication, The Journal of Oral Implantology. He is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, North Shore District Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and American Dental Association and holds a Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Argeros also has provided restorative dental treatment at the North Shore Medical Center at Union Hospital since 1979.
