Peabody Ducks' First Joyful Return Post 9/11 to 2007 Wings 'n Water Festival, Stone Harbor, New Jersey

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Those show stoppers from Orlando, Florida, the Peabody Ducks, are on the march again. These VIPs, Very Important Poultry, are returning for the first time since the tragedy of September 11, 2001, to open the 2007/25th Anniversary of the Wings 'n Water Festival at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.

"This is truly a joyful occasion for all of us," said Alan C. Villaverde, executive vice president, Peabody Hotels, and general manager of The Peabody Orlando. "We were poised and ready to attend the 2001 Festival, but the events of 9/11 grounded us. At Peabody Hotels, we are an indomitable force, and we knew we'd be back. We are eager to express our company's support of the important research and education programs of the Wetlands Institute. The education of young children on the importance of conserving and preserving wetland habitats is a meaningful, worthwhile goal."

To mark this special event, Villaverde is sending duck masters from each Peabody hotel: David Robinson/Orlando, Jason Sensat/Memphis, and Lloyd Withrow/Little Rock. Dressed in their traditional red jackets trimmed with gold braid and carrying their Peabody Duck canes, they will escort the "fabulous feathered five." Schedule of appearances:
