Peace Arch Entertainment's Feature Film "Chapter 27" to Premiere Tonight at Prestigious Sundance Film Festival

Highly Influential Festival Provides Springboard for Global Acquisition and Distribution for Peace Arch Film

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 25, 2007 -- Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX: PAE) (TSX: PAE), an innovative film and television entertainment company, announced today that the Company's film "Chapter 27," about the assassination of John Lennon, will premier tonight at 11:30 pm ET at the highly influential Sundance Film Festival. Entertainment industry executives are expected to attend the premier to explore possible acquisition and distribution arrangements.

"Chapter 27" will have its world premiere in Sundance's elite Premieres Program, which showcases the diversity of contemporary cinema.

"This year's Sundance Festival has already been very productive for Peace Arch following the warm reception for our feature film 'Delirious,'" said Mark Balsam, President of US Distribution at Peace Arch Entertainment. "With two major motion pictures showing at the festival, we believe Peace Arch is now being recognized by critics and prospective distribution partners as a significant supplier of top quality theatrical motion pictures."

Held this year until January 28, 2007, in and around Park City, Utah, Sundance is the most influential North American showcase for US and international independent film. Invitations to screen at Sundance are highly coveted, as many of the most successful and critically acclaimed independent films each year are premiered there.

In "Chapter 27" Jared Leto ("Lord of War," "Alexander") stars as John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman, who is torn between his awe of Lennon and his desire to be famous himself. Lindsay Lohan ("Herbie Fully Loaded," "Mean Girls") plays a devoted Lennon fan who befriends Chapman on that fateful weekend in New York. Robert Salerno ("21 Grams," "All the Pretty Horses") and Naomi Despres will produce the picture for Artina Films along with Alexandra Milchan.

"Chapter 27's premier at Sundance provides yet another validation of the significant assets that Peace Arch has acquired to continuously build shareholder value," said John Flock, President of Peace Arch Entertainment.

"Chapter 27" is among the more than 20 feature film, television and DVD productions that Peace Arch Entertainment produced or acquired over the past 12 months, including the romantic comedy "Watching The Detectives" starring Golden Globe® Award-nominated Cillian Murphy ("Breakfast on Pluto") and two-time Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning Lucy Liu ("Charlie's Angels" 1 & 2); the psychological drama "Guantanamero" starring Rupert Evans ("Hellboy") and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning Sir Derek Jacobi ("Gladiator"); and the ten-hour event television series "The Tudors" starring Golden Globe Award-winning Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("Match Point"), Henry Czerny ("Mission Impossible") and Golden Globe Award-nominated Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park").
