Peace Arch Entertainment's "The Mad" Premieres as Opening Film at Prominent Canadian Filmmakers Festival in Toronto

Influential Festival Provides Springboard for North American Acquisition and Distribution for Peace Arch Film

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 23, 2007 -- Peace Arch® Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX: PAE) (TSX: PAE), an innovative film and television entertainment company, announced today that "The Mad" will fill the prestigious opening film slot at the Canadian Filmmakers Festival in Toronto. Entertainment industry executives are expected to attend the film's world premiere to explore possible acquisition and distribution arrangements.

"The Mad" will be distributed in the United States by Los Angeles-based Genius Entertainment, with a street-date of May 22, 2007. Under an agreement entered into in May 2006, Peace Arch engaged Genius as its US home entertainment distributor for a slate of pictures in the horror, science fiction and action genres.

"Opening this influential film festival in Toronto provides yet another validation of Peace Arch's continued growth," said John Flock, President of Peace Arch Entertainment. "Peace Arch is now being recognized by critics and prospective distribution partners as a key supplier of top quality theatrical motion pictures. We believe that this reputation will ultimately lead to the building of significant shareholder value."

The Canadian Filmmakers Festival, which runs March 22-25, is an event devoted entirely to the celebration, promotion, and advancement of Canadian film and it marks its fourth year with 100% Canadian film programming.

Billy Zane ("Titanic") stars in "The Mad," a flesh-tearing, blood-spurting ode to parenthood, rock & roll and good table manners. When Dr. Jason Hunt (Zane) takes his teenage daughter Amy (Maggie Castle) for a trip through the countryside, their vacation turns deadly during a pit stop at a roadside bed and breakfast.

"The Mad" is directed by Johnny Kalangis, written by Kalangis, Kevin Hennelly and Christopher Warre Smets and produced by Kalangis, Harvey Glazer and Rob Wilson, with co-producer Jonathan Dueck and executive producers Kate Harrison and Lewin Webb.

Recently, Peace Arch also announced that it has executed a licensing agreement for U.S. distribution rights for two of the Company's feature films, "Final Draft" and "The Cradle," to Genius Entertainment, one of the leading home entertainment distributors in the United States. Genius will handle DVD and other home entertainment rights to the projects. Peace Arch has retained U.S. television rights and all international distribution rights to both films.
