Pelion's Chief Technology Officer Named a 'Pro to Know' by Leading Business Magazine

Dave Gleditsch's Lean and Flow Manufacturing Innovation Recognized in Annual Listing of Top Supply and Demand Chain Industry Professionals

BOULDER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 16, 2007 -- Pelion Systems, a market leader in Lean Manufacturing solutions, announced today that Chief Technology Officer Dave Gleditsch has been named a 2007 "Pro to Know" by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, the executive's manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation. The seventh-annual listing of Pros to Know appears in the February/March 2007 issue of the publication.

The Supply & Demand Chain Executive Provider Pros to Know list recognizes individuals from a software firm, service provider, consultancy, analyst or research firm who have personally helped to raise the profile of supply chain and increase recognition for the supply chain as a strategic function within the enterprise.

"This year's Provider Pros to Know have shown themselves to be thought-leaders in their respective supply chain segments," said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "Their efforts in developing the tools and processes necessary for supply chain transformation, and in promoting new approaches to supply chain enablement, are helping raise supply chain's status within the enterprise and have earned them a place on this year's Provider Pros listing."

As Pelion's chief technology officer, Gleditsch is dedicated to helping companies transform their supply chains through the implementation of Lean and Flow Manufacturing principles. Leveraging nearly 30 years of manufacturing and systems development experience gained as an industry practitioner, consultant and solution provider, he oversees the deployment of all Pelion solutions, establishing and implementing best practices for customers.

Prior to joining Pelion in 2001, Gleditsch was the corporate vice president of manufacturing technology for the American Standard Companies for over seven years. During this time he served as the global leader for the Demand Flow™ Technology transformation that resulted in the liberation of over $800 million of working capital by tripling inventory turnover rates while doubling sales. American Standard, Trane, and WABCO won major contracts and top supplier awards from the likes of Home Depot, K-Mart and Ericsson by delivering industry-leading customer service and flexibility. Two major business units within the company were able to consistently operate at negative working capital levels.

In addition to his work at Pelion and American Standard, Gleditsch has held senior leadership positions with General Motors, Hewlett-Packard and Maxtor.

"I am very pleased to see that Supply & Demand Chain Executive has honored the tremendous expertise and dedication that Dave brings to the industry," said Kevin Fallon, Pelion's chief executive officer. "He recognized very early in his career the power Lean Manufacturing holds in enabling companies to pull product through the supply chain in a more efficient and flexible manner that stays in tune with demand. The bottom-line results he has delivered over the years are nothing short of astounding."

Gleditsch will be sharing his perspective on transforming a business to Lean at the Supply Chain Council's Supply-Chain World North America conference in Philadelphia next week. His presentation is scheduled for Monday, March 19, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. For more information, visit www.supply-chain.org.
